Yes. Self-hosted mode is free inside your daily allowance (2,500 tokens/day anon, 5,000 tokens/day signed in). Premium mode via FLUX Kontext costs ~500 tokens per edit; Seedream 4 Edit (the best novel-view model) costs ~70,000 tokens and needs purchased credits.
We expose three: Seedream 4 Edit (fal-ai/bytedance/seedream/v4/edit) — the gold standard for novel views; FLUX Pro Kontext (fal-ai/flux-pro/kontext) — a faster paid editor; and a free self-hosted enhancer as fallback. Premium models require purchased tokens.
Yes. Seedream 4 and Kontext are instruction-tuned to keep face, clothing, setting, and lighting identical — only the camera angle changes. That is the whole point of this tool vs. a generic "reimagine".
Yes to all three. Portraits and product shots give the cleanest results. Full 3D environments work but extreme angle swings can lose geometry — try a smaller step (e.g. 3/4 view instead of behind-subject).
Regenerating from scratch gives you a new person wearing new clothes in a new room. Camera Angle keeps the same subject and just changes the perspective — the way a second camera on set would see the same scene.
Reimagine varies style and interpretation — different art direction, same vibe. Camera Angle preserves identity exactly and only rotates the camera. If you want the same person from another angle, use this. If you want four creative variations, use Reimagine.
Extreme angles (e.g. top-down on a side-on group photo) can hallucinate detail the source photo never captured. Stick to moderate rotations — 3/4, profile, over-the-shoulder — for the most faithful output.
Yes. You own the generated image. Check the license of your source photo first — we don't change the rights on your upload.
No. Your input is deleted immediately after the edit completes. The output is kept on our CDN for 24h (7 days for paid users) so you can share it.
Yes. POST a multipart form with image + prompt + mode=relight to /v1/image/edit/ (or /v1/image/edit/ with tool=image-camera-angle for the self-hosted route). See /api/ for full docs.
Photoshop can't rotate a camera — it can only warp pixels you already have. Camera Angle re-renders the scene from a new viewpoint using generative AI, so you get the back of a head, the top of a product, or a profile shot from a single front-facing photo.
