AI Retouch — FAQ
Paint over the part of an image you want to change — a pimple, a stranger in the background, a logo, a stain — then describe what should replace it. The AI rebuilds only the painted area and leaves the rest untouched.
Yes. Each retouch costs about 500 tokens. Signed-up users get 10,000 tokens/day free.
Background removers cut out the whole subject. The editor runs generic global edits. Retouch is a localized inpaint — surgical changes bounded by the mask you draw.
FLUX Kontext Pro running in masked-edit mode. It's trained to preserve everything outside the mask exactly as it was.
Click and drag on the image to paint over the area you want changed. Use the slider to change brush size. Clear mask resets. The green overlay shows what the AI will edit.
Describe what should fill the masked area. Short and literal works best: "clear skin," "remove the person," "grass," "blank wall." Over-describing confuses the model.
Yes. Paint over the object, prompt "background continues" or "grass / sidewalk / sky," and the AI fills it in matching the surrounding texture.
JPG, PNG, and WebP up to 10MB. The mask is generated client-side and sent as PNG.
On clean masks with reasonable prompts, yes — FLUX Kontext blends the edit to match lighting and texture. Jagged masks or unrealistic requests will show seams.
Yes. Paint every area you want changed in the same mask, then run once. Or run again after the first result with a new mask on the new output.
No. Uploads and masks are processed and discarded. The output is kept on our CDN for 24h (7d for paid users) at the share link.
