What is HiDream-O1-Image 8B?

HiDream-O1-Image (MIT, weights and code) is an 8B text-to-image model that denoises raw pixels directly: one Qwen3-VL based transformer, no VAE and no separate text encoder. It scores at or near the top of the open models on GenEval, DPG-Bench and the long-text rendering benchmarks its authors publish. Self-hosted on Free.ai's H200 with the full 50-step recipe.

Best for: Prompts with several objects and precise layout, long or multi-region text in an image, detailed illustrations. Commercial use OK.
