They have 90 days to claim. If they don't, we automatically refund you in full and email you to say it didn't go through. No follow-up required.

Yes — there's a 500-character note field on the form. Whatever you write is shown front and center on the recipient's claim page and in their welcome email.

Credits are spendable tokens for any tool. A gift @handle is a dedicated AI persona at free.ai/@theirname — a public profile, a chat URL they can share, optional paid Q&A, all of it. The 12 months of upkeep is included so they don't pay anything to keep it live.

They will after they claim — claiming requires an account. The signup is built into the claim flow: one click, email + password, done. They never enter a card.

They keep the @handle. After the gift's upkeep tokens run out, they pay 50K tokens (about $0.66) per month to keep it published — exactly the same as anyone who claimed a handle directly. They'll never be auto-charged: if they run out, the handle just unpublishes until they top up.

Yes. Card details go straight to our PCI-compliant payments processor — Free.ai never sees the number. Apple Pay and Google Pay both work for one-tap checkout. Receipts are emailed automatically.

If the recipient hasn't claimed yet, contact us within 7 days and we'll refund. After they claim, the @handle is theirs — refund means we'd have to revoke their account, and that's not fair to them.
